Winter has officially arrived in Hermanus, and we couldn’t be more excited. For us, winter means comfort food, a crackling fire, and a steaming cup of coffee enjoyed in good company. To celebrate everything we love about the season, we have launched our new Winter Blackboard Specials.
We start the day with a special French Toast Edition breakfast menu. Best of all, we serve breakfast all day, so you never have to worry about missing out on your favourite morning treats.
Our French toast selection offers three delicious options to satisfy every craving. The Twist combines two slices of crispy French toast with a layer of homemade marmalade, topped with bacon and fried banana, and served with maple syrup. The South African pays tribute to a local favourite with French toast topped with either Marmite or Bovril and melted cheese. Whether you’re team Marmite or team Bovril, this hearty option delivers classic comfort. For those with a sweet tooth, The Classic features crispy French toast served with maple syrup and a generous scoop of ice cream.
For lunch, we offer a range of warming homemade soups, each served with two slices of toast and a cinnamon pancake for dessert. Choose from Pea & Eisbein, Butternut & Chickpea (vegan), Potato, Leek & Bacon, Roasted Tomato, Red Pepper & Red Onion (vegetarian), or Spinach, Broccoli & Baby Marrow (vegetarian).
